Robert Wright, FASID, Co-Founder

Robert Wright, FASID, a co-founder of McCormick & Wright, retired in 2016. Currently living in Borrego Springs, California, Robert is a volunteer at the Borrego Art Institute (BAI) where he works in the gallery, assists with the art exhibition installations, and serves on the BAI board of directors. He enjoys participating in the arts community, desert living, and taking road trips throughout the Southwest. While his abundant professional accolades include being honored with the ASID Designer of Distinction Award, serving as National ASID President, and sitting on the CIDA Board of Directors, Robert is most proud of seeing the continued fine work and great success of his namesake design firm.   

Jan Bast, FASID, Co-Founder

Jan Bast is a co-founder of Bast/Wright Interiors, now McCormick & Wright. She retired from the firm in 2001 to focus on interior design education at the Design Institute of San Diego. Jan is a Fellow of the American Society of Interior Designers and served as president of the National Council for Interior Design Qualification. Currently, she serves as a volunteer tutor for READ San Diego, working with a student to help her improve her reading skills. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, especially cruises.
